I can't remember a time when I hadn't seen Star Wars. The characters and world were as real to me as my own family and home in Michigan and I fully believed that I could get to the galaxy far, far away if I could just find a rocket ship that could take me far enough.
Time made sure I went through the heartbreak of learning that I couldn't, but that only gave me a new dream: make galaxies of my own. I believe in the power of story to create whole worlds you want to live in and people that you want to meet.
